Texting Terms

The short version
- You only get texts if you signed up for them.
- Reply STOP any time to quit. Reply HELP for help.
- Msg & data rates may apply. How often you get texts varies.
- You never have to sign up to buy anything.
- Your number is never sold or shared for anyone else's marketing.
Who sends these texts
Pagecrisp LLC, of Los Angeles, California, runs text lists for local shops. When you join a shop's text list, the texts come from that shop. We send them for the shop, on its behalf.
These terms cover every shop text list we run. Each text names the shop it comes from.
What you get
A shop's sign-up form lets you pick one, both, or neither of these:
- Updates — news from the shop, like changed hours or a new item.
- Deals — offers, coupons and specials from the shop.
Message frequency varies. The sign-up form tells you about how many texts to expect. Msg & data rates may apply, based on your phone plan.
We only send texts between 9am and 8pm, in your local time.
How to stop or get help
Reply STOP to any text to quit. Words like "unsubscribe", "cancel", "quit" or "no more" work too. We stop right away and send one last text to confirm.

Your yes, and only your yes
- Signing up is never a condition of buying anything.
- Typing your phone number into a form is not a yes to texts. You have to tick the box.
- We keep a record of when and how you said yes, so we can prove it.
Phone carriers
Phone carriers deliver the texts. They are not responsible for texts that arrive late or don't arrive.
For shops: the sign-up wording we use
Every sign-up form we set up uses this wording. Both boxes start empty. The customer ticks one, both, or neither. We save the exact words they saw, with the date and time.

By ticking a box, you agree to get recurring automated texts from [Shop name] at this number, sent by Pagecrisp for the shop. You don't have to sign up to buy anything. Right after someone signs up, they get one text like this:
Shops: you promise that every number you give us belongs to someone who said yes. Never add numbers from receipts, old contact lists, or anywhere else.
Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what texts you get, we tell you by text first.
